Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 1/2 tsps. Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/3 Cup Shortening
  • 1/3 Cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/4 Cup Honey
  • 1 Egg
  • 2/3 Cup Milk

Instructions

  1. Thoroughly stir together: Flour, baking powder. and salt
  2. Beat shortening (medium speed 30 seconds)
  3. Add sugar and vanilla, beat till fluffy
  4. Add egg and honey (Beat for 1 Minute)
  5. Add dry ingredients and milk alternately to beaten mixture
  6. Beat on low speed after each addition till just combined
  7. Turn batter into a greased and lightly floured 9x9x2-Inch Baking Pan
  8. Bake at 350 Degrees
  9. 30-35 Minutes or until cake tests are done
  10. Tip: stick a toothpick in the middle if comes out clean they are done
