Marcus Designs was the concept of David Morton who lived in Bottesford in Leicestershire and made decorative plaques mainly of medieval design from the late 1960’s -1980’s.

The plaques started as simple designs of a Greek coin and developed into friezes of medieval battles as long as seven feet.

The antiqued and colored finish applied by hand is the result of a specially developed process.

To guarantee faithful reproduction of the fine detail the article is made from a material similar to porcelain – accordingly care should be taken in handling.
